OMJ Wins 2022 BOB Awards

In the retail world it can be an interesting thing sometimes, especially with fashion retail. Often times you are chasing two things: selling enough of your product to stay in business AND recognition and respect for what you do by the industry you are in (i.e. other fashion brands / publications etc...). I will be honest, the two don't necessarily go hand in hand, and the lines get even more blurred when you compare it on a national scale vs a regional/local scale. Case in point, OMJ has won more national awards than local awards. In all honesty, Charlotte as a whole is very young in it's fashion knowledge/experience (no, Charlotte Fashion Week is not a real fashion week haha...sorry to anyone I may offend) and so it is pretty low on the priority list for coverage and somewhere between axe throwing and yoga (the top being breweries, real estate and restaurants). In other parts of the country, though, it is a much bigger deal which means it is covered a lot more, which sparks more interests and the circle continues...you get the point. Regardless, it took me years to reconcile the fact that we got more love elsewhere outside of our hometown, although I eventually made piece with it 😊. Well folks, I have some great news, after 9 years of putting way to much effort into feeling slighted, haha, OMJ has finally been honored...not once...but twice! In the annual Charlotte Magazine Best of the Best (BOB) Awards, OMJ was selected as Charlotte's Best Men's Clothing store AND Best Custom Clothing Store...WOW. It is actually all of you that made it happen, voting for us and really showing all the love and support. Thank you Charlotte Magazine (one of the OG Charlotte Publications) and thank you to all our friends, family, clients and customers for supporting OMJ!
