Hurry up and wait, too many people and too little space, slow moving lines while traveling…I’ve been there, you’ve been there, we’ve ALL been there. Unfortunately, these situations can be a true test of patience, stamina and most of all, a test of your ability to handle stressful situations with a bit of decorum.

Here in the southeast, there are a few things synonymous with summertime. Outdoor cookouts/BBQs, days on the lake, country music concerts and of course...the beach. Fortunately for us in the Carolinas, only a few hours stands between us, a chair in the sand and the summer breeze through our hair. 

Hot off the heels of our European vacation, we thought it wise to give guidance on what to pack for your upcoming summer travel plans. After 2 weeks of being constantly on the go in a foreign country in the early summer heat, we sort of feel like experts now. How do you pack for these types of trips? Here is our guide to packing lightly for your trips away!

This past week marked a major milestone for OLE MASON JAR, our second year anniversary of being in business. On such a significant milestone we offer some observation and thoughts.

A few weekends ago, the Mrs. and I took a trip to Chicago for the weekend.  As much as it was a vacation, there is never a lost opportunity when it comes to OLE MASON JAR!  To sum things up… Chicago has great food, great history and is a great American city.

A couple of weekends ago, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Raleigh and shoot a private runway show for Belk featuring the very talented Trina Turk. Naturally, since I was heading up their anyways, it was the perfect opportunity to stop in and visit some of the great menswear brands headquartered in Raleigh. Checkout our complete recap!
