Welcome back to July Discovery,

Hey all, it’s been a while yeah? Not to worry we have some great material to go over!

New Music:

“Who is Marshmellow?” The question that keeps being asked in the EDM world. The secret producer came out of nowhere with big hits such as “Summer”, “Where Are U Now” (Marshmellow Remix), and “Know Me”. Many thought Marshmellow to be Skrillex, but his or her identity seems to change daily.

Passion Pit delivered a summer filled album titled “Kindred” staying steady with their indie-pop melody formula. In the hip-hop world Fetty Wap is stealing the airwaves from all the major players with “Trap Queen”. The Weeknd is becoming a household name with the release of “Can’t Feel My Face” and after appearing on the “50 Shades of Grey” and “Hunger Games” soundtracks twice.

In addition to our July playlist, TɅJ partially released an upcoming mixtape “Fluorescent Dreams” which can also be found at www.souncloud.com/ole-mason-jar.

Concert Update:

Personally, I’ve been editing and recording so much with my spare time that I didn’t make it out to many shows these last two months. The major events that happened in Las Vegas were “Rock in Rio” and “Electric Daisy Carnival”. This was the first year for Rock in Rio and included sets from Taylor Swift, Metallica, Bruno Mars, and Ed Sheeran.

The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) located at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway brought out the superstars of the EDM world. It’s a three day event that transforms the city. One of the nice parts about having such stars in one city at one time is that you never know what might happen in a given night.
